It’s easy to get a Handicap Index®! It only takes three scores to get started (and it can be three rounds you have already played).
The simplest way to get a Handicap Index is to contact your local Allied Golf Association (state or regional golf association).
A brief survey has also been created to streamline the process for USA players interested in participating in the U.S. Adaptive Open. By completing the survey, the information you provide will be shared by the USGA with your local Allied Golf Association. From there, you will be contacted via your preferred contact method by a member of their staff to help you get set up. Once contacted by your AGA, the entire process should only take a few minutes.
Yes, all players will need a Handicap Index to enter the championship.
No. Entries will be primarily determined based on Handicap Index. Date of entry will not be a factor in determining the final field.
A WR4GD Pass certifies eligibility to compete in the U.S. Adaptive Open Championship. Information on how to apply can be found here.
Players with intellectual impairment will need to start the process in the USA by going to Athletes Without Limits and applying for International Level eligibility (Virtus II1). Players outside of the USA can look up their national Virtus contact here. Please allow 12 weeks to complete the Virtus application process.
Arrangements have been made to have medical assessors at USA events prior to the close of entries for the U.S. Adaptive Open. A medical assessor will be available at the following events and/or locations:

There will not be qualifying. Field composition details will be announced at a later date.
Entries will open in February and at that time a closing date will be published. The entry system will not allow entries after that date.
There will be spots held in the field for all eligible impairment groups.
There will not be a senior division but seniors can enter.
